My name is Jacque Brown, and I am one of the Directors/Owners of "The Beanstalk Childcare & Academy". We have been open for 9 years in the Omaha metro area. The experiences that have led me to become the director of a daycare include working in a licensed daycare center as a Lead-Teacher with all age groups while I was in college; in addition to having a summer internship through Metro-Tech as a coach/teacher of children and adults with disabilities.
I attended The University Of Nebraska at Omaha where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.
Upon completion of my bachelor's degree, I was a Residential Manager for Eastern Nebraska Office On Retardation (ENCOR). As a manager, I was directly responsible for 10 staff, supervised 2 state licensed facilities, in addition to overseeing several community based housing units where single adults and families lived.
The experiences I obtained from being employed at ENCOR allowed me to transition to a Developmental Disability Coordinator through The Department Of Health and Human Services of Nebraska (DHHS).
As a parent, grandmother, and college graduate, I know that the first 5 years of any child's life is the most critical and should therefore be given the most attention if we want to prepare our children for a successful life.
My husband and I decided to open the "Beanstalk Childcare & Academy" because we saw a need for a quality, nurturing environment that encouraged upward mobility and growth for first at foremost the child, the parents, the teachers, and also the community. We utilize this team approach as a model for our business because it has been proven to be successful for all participants.

Our company was established in 2005 and has been providing outstanding child care ever since.We currently have 1 commercial buildings and would like to expand into another location within the next year.
Our focus pertains to the areas of: Positive Reinforcement, Developmental Enhancements and assistance through a structured curriculum, as well as a loving, structured and supervised environment for all children year-round.
One of our main goalsfocuses on helping prepare Preschoolers for Kindergarten as well as assisting other students with social, developmental, cognitive, and educational success. To supplement our goals, we have a computer center that is accessible for all students, a library that encourages reading, and a summer program that includes field trips.
